About Me
Everyone can sing, you just have to find your voice!
Daniella G. Painton aka Dani Gonzalez, is a Los Angeles and New York trained singer and actress now residing in Central Texas. Dani received her BA in Theater Performance at Azusa Pacific University, where she was a member of the Women’s Choir, University Choir, Oratorio Choir, Chamber Singers, and Drama Ministry Team.
In addition to her 4 year degree, Dani also completed the 2 year Acting Conservatory Program at the Pacific Conservatory for the Performing Arts in Santa Maria, CA. This rigorous training included units in Shakespeare, Checkov, Stanislavski, and classes in Voice and Speech, Dance and Vocal production. She studied voice with private coaches including Denise Dumeyer and Dan Calloway.
Since graduating she has performed in many regional theaters in Los Angeles as well as a few on the East Coast. While living in NYC she was also a student at The Growing Studio where she took class with casting teams from Hamilton, Wicked, Les Mis, as well as many casting directors. Her favorite class was the Musical Theater Forum with Max Theatricals, led by the incomparable, Aaron Galligan Stierle.
Dani started teaching when she directed Thoroughly Modern Millie at Maranatha High School in Pasadena CA. She’s very passionate about teaching the craft of singing for an audience. She trains her students to sing technically, but also focuses heavily on performance, audition prep and developing healthy habits in vocal practice. She makes sure her students have all of the tools they need to navigate any style of music in a healthy way that feels effortless.
Dani loves teaching beginners starting at 6 years old to adults. She teaches beginning theory, sight reading and basic musicianship as well as singing technique.
